Homemade Sweet Homemade Challenge

Want to see another of the cute Playpen Pets? Of course you do!! This is my main man Popsicle…the image is called Popsicle’s Pad. Hehe! I used him for this week’s Pixie Dust Studio Challenge…”Homemade Sweet Homemade”.

The challenge is to only use homemade embellishments, except for ribbon. Hmmm…ok so besides flowers which everyone including me has tried I was trying to think of something new. I ended up creating a faux feltie! I didn’t have any felt but I hand cut a coupe of hearts and a fish, glued it all together than hand-stitched the edges of the heart with a Blanket stitch using embroidery floss.

Popsicle is part of the Playpen Pets collection which will be released at Pixie Dust Studio tomorrow…so don’t be late! Here's a close up of him;
