Rio Collection from Simply B Stamps

We were planning on releasing the Rio Collection of images next week at Simply B Stamps , but with Betty being out of action, that's left the Simply B Stamp Store in the hands of Miss Rio and Suzi!  So they thought you might all want to have some new images to play along with over the weekend.  So we decided to release the Rio Collection today instead of waiting any longer.

I have a few cards for you today...first up is Victorian Christmas Rio...

I just love the juxtaposition of the Victorian clothing and the bats on her gift!  So Betty, or should I say so Rio?  I had the lovely pleasure of meeting this crazy sweetheart in January!   I used a Christmas paper line from First Edition paper out of the UK for this one and added some black net from May Arts.  Coloring done with my speccies.

Next is Rock 'n' Roll Rio picking up the fun colors of this old paper by DCWV out of my stash.  My layouts are pretty CAS today, trying to get these done for Miss Betty Boo as quickly as possible with the Fast Release.

And finally here's my fav...Victorian Summer Rio using shades of Brown Gray and papers from Fancy Pants.

All of these awesome images were drawn by the one and only Betty Roberts, she is one talented lady that's for sure.  You can get your hands on them over in the Simply B Stamps Store, right now. So What you waiting for?

Also available in store you'll find the Steampunk Evermore Collection of Rubberstamps, so you might want to order one or two of those whilst your shopping, afterall you'll save on postage in the long run, cos you know you want them too!

Keep your eyes peeled over the weekend, as we'll have more cards featuring the Rios to share with you from the rest of the DT.

Dreamweaver Stencils Thursday

Its time for another round of our Black/white or graduation challenge at the Dreamweaver Stencils Challenge Blog.  I chose again to do the black and white theme with a pop of color.

I used LL588 Dragon stencil and the double glitter technique using Black, Cherry Red, Crystal Multi, and Tigerlily glitters from Stampendous.  I have found the hard way that the best double sided sticky paper comes from Dreamweaver Stencils...and don't forget the coconut soap!

My background paper is from the Konnichiwa collection by Basic Grey which I stamped with the Bamboo set from Stampendous (retired but still available in some LSS) in AGed Black Embossing Enamel.

Be sure to hop over to the DWS blog to join us this month, and don't forget to check out what the rest of the Dream Team created for you this week and leave them some love :)

Dreamweaver Thursday

Good morning!  Its still a Black and White with a pop of color challenge at Dreamweaver Stencils this week...but mine is hard to see that its B/W.  I dry embossed the black background with the Waves and Dots stencil then went over that with white Picket Fence Distress stain.

The guitar...a NEW stencil coming soon to a store near you... was embossed with Glossy black paste then after that was dry I rubbed Glacier Metallic FX  over the paste with a stencil brush.  AFter that was set I added the white accents to the guitar with a gel pen.  The Dream sentiment is a chipboard piece from DCWV.

Be sure to hop over to the DWS blog and play along with us this month!

Beach Time Chris Munster

I'm back!  Its been a crazy week of packing, moving, organizing, and cleaning!  I had to sneak some crafty time in tonight because my hubby has been a slave driver!  So...I finally have a peek for you of Beach Time Chris Munster from the new Teen Scene Summer Fun collection from Simply B Stamps.  Peeks are going on all week at the SBS blog so hop over and see what you've missed.  Blog Hop and release are this Friday!

I colored Chris with my new Spectrum Noir markers (Blog launch will be sometime later this week we hope!!) and then ached him up to the summery paper from We R Memory Keepers.

I also pulled out some American Crafts foam stickers for my sentiment...that bird reminds me of Nemo, so I couldn't hel the title :)

Here's the speccies I used for him:

My layout for the card uses this weeks sketch challenge from Deconstructing Jen.

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Digi Challenge!

I have exciting news to share with you today that I’ve been holding for weeks now… I will be joining the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps DigiChallenge Design Team!  I’ve been secretly admiring some of Korin’s images for a while now and was thrilled to be asked to join!

This week our challenge is your favorite holiday and mine is Halloween hands down.   Since I didn’t have a Halloween image I thought I would color Opal Owl from Sweet ‘n’ SassyStamps in some fun bright Halloween colors to match this old Doodlebug paper.  I just love this adorable large owl and he was easy-peasy to color with my new Speccies!

My card is pretty CAS today as I’m still in the moving process and have just unearthed all the boxes!  My sentiment is from Owl Sentiments 2, also by SNSS.   Sorry about the fuzzy picture, I couldn't find my cord fr my camera and had t take a pic on my phone :(  I will try to update it later today!

Here's a ist of the rest of the DT so be sure to hop over and leave them some love!  Plus be sure to go to the new SNSS Digi Challenge facebook page and "like" them, as soon they hit 100 they will give away free digis!!
