Lucky Betty

***Post 2 of 2 today :) Scroll down for this weeks Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Post!!***

I also just HAD to share a card today that I made with this cute little stamp called Lucky Betty from Pink Cat Studio. Melissa has been releasing the cutest images every week in digi form (not to mention all the wonderful rubber stamps she releases too! ) I have been buying Pink Cat images for a few years now and absolutely LOVE them all!

For Betty I used more of the same fun paper from K & Co Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse collection. I picked the green dots then colored her dress to match. No, its not paper pieced...I added the dots later to make it really match :)

PS. Pink Cat Studio just released the most adorable new Baby Gnome collection to coordinate with the Gnome collection from just a couple of weeks ago. Be sure to go check it out!!

Challenge List:
Pile it On: Green and Orange (the coin)
Fab n Funky: All things Green
Do you Stack Up: Add a bow
Sew Many Challenges: St Patrick's Day
Papertake Weekly: Trio Tastic

Below is a pic of the copics that I Used. Other supplies not listed above: Bo Bunny Double Dot paper, ribbon from stash, Shabby Shutters distress Stickles from Ranger, and Rectangle standard and Jumbo scallop from Spellbinders.

Thanks for coming back by if its your second trip today! I promise, no more posts today :)

My Knight in Shining Armor

Just a fun challenge card for you today. This week's theme at Fab 'n' Funky is "Make it Girly" and I just HAD to use Lily as Rapunzel and Prince Billy images from Pink Cat Studio (especially since Pink Cat is sponsoring this weeks challenge) Head over to the Pink Cat blog to see more Girly inspiration as well!

For the card I had to resize Rapunzel larger to get her just right for me (the true beauty of digis!!) So my card ending up being 5 1/4 x 7 1/4. I used Quite Contrary paper from My Minds Eye for the card base and the accents. Buttons are by Basic Grey, flower from Prima.

Here's Billy charging to the rescue of his lovely Princess.

And of course Rapunzel herself (as played by the charming Lily) I added quite a bit of distressing to the papers and images with Tim Holtz ink in Brushed Corduroy, Victorian Velvet, and Old Paper. Also used Versacolor Celedon ink and sentiment by Stampendous!

Challenge List:
Fab n Funky Challenge: Make it Girly
Cupcake Craft Challenge: Pink Polka Dots
The Crazy Challenge: Lovely Ladies

Thats it for now, thanks for popping in! Have a great rest of the weekend :)

Virtual Valentine's Day Blog Hop!!

Are you excited? We all are! This hop has grown so fast...from just about a week ago it was just a few friends...now we have over 50 stops on the best Valentine's Day Hop ever!!

There is an INCREDIBLE amount of talent along the way so be sure to stop at EVERY players blog AND be sure to leave some love on ALL the players' posts...winners will be chosen randomly from all posts and all blogs. There are over 20 prizes!!

I actually have 2 projects for you today! The first is a layout that I created with these absolutely most stinkingly adorable Iguanas!! Iguana Love is one of the cute new sets released by Stampendous! a couple of months ago. It comes with the pair, and then the 2 single iguanas and a whole bunch of cute sentiments.

Heres a closeup of the Iguanas. After I stamped them I cut them out and adhered them to hearts that were cut with my Spellbinders Heart dies. (I machine stitched around the borders of the hearts and the mats on the page)

The title was created with some cloth thickers from American Crafts that were originally white, but then I airbrushed them to match my papers and Iguanas. The colors I chose were pulled from the Bo Bunny Peacock Lane collection. I also added a small heart that I stamped from the set and cut out then adhered directly to the corner of the photo.

I had fun with this part of the layout adding a hand-ruffled ribbon treatment that I created with ribbon and my sewing machine. The little scalloped border is a Spellbinders die. Layout for the page is based on this weeks sketch at Sketchy Thursday.

I also created a card with this cute new little stamp called "Betty holding Heart" from Pink Cat Studio. She's part of a set of 4 little cuties! This card is based on this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch sketch challenge at The Sweetest Thing.

The card turned out quite a bit simpler than I usually end up with, but I just love the way Betty turned out colored! I matched her up with some gorgeous papers and chipboard embellishments from American Crafts..Letterbox.
