CHA!!

OK, 2 days of CHA down and I still haven't walked the floor at all! I've been busy working in the 3L booth, helping with the Dreamweaver Stencils class, and mostly working in the Globecraft Memories booth.  I have a bunch of pics I took in the Globecraft booth yesterday.

All 3 of these are jewelry made with the chipboard pieces from new Card Piccolo kits.  Below are shots of the some of the new Wall decor Piccolo kits...also ALL chipboard!  These pieces are simply embossed with their new line of powders.

The card kits...

My absolute FAVORITE the new Steampunk airship in the classic size...

Laura Weed and Lisa Hinsley from Stampendous! stopped in to see us...

Here's my friend Lea during the Dreamweaver class, sporting her new hat from Prima...

And here's me with Suzi Blu who also popped by the booth!  Oh my she's a nut and totally adorable!

Stampendous! Saturday

Post 2 of 2 for today, scroll down for my Simply B Stamps challenge!

Its the last Saturday of January and the last week to enter our Bling challenge on the Stampendous! blog!  I have 2 projects for you today, and first up is a layout that I had so much fun creating!  I started with a scrap of cardstock from Best Creations that I wanted to use with my Unicorn stamp and then puled out embossing colors to match!

The flourish is a piece of Chipboard from Tecnique Tuesday that I coated with Versamark Ink then sprinkled Stampendous! Vintage Plum and Vintage Lilac embossing tinsels on and heated.  I also embedded some new Lavender Crushed Glass Glitter.  The new glitter colors and the new Vintage Lilac tinsel are previewing this weekend at CHA so you should be able to get them soon!!

The pale plum cardstock was stamped with the new Calligraphy sampler stamp from Stampendous! in Victorian Velvet distress ink.  My Medieval Unicorn I stamped and colored with copic markers then embossed the edge a bit with the same powders I used on the chipboard.  Isn't he gorgeous??

For my second project  today I am sharing a CAS card I created with an older stamp.  I made this card a while ago and now the stamp is retired, but I wanted to share it before Valentines day!

The focal image is Rose Heart stamped in Vesamark ink then heat embossed with Red Embossing Tinsel.  If you check around your local Michaels or Hobby Lobby you just might find this stamp!  The sentiment is stamped with one of the images from the new Cherub Wishes set.  The flourish is a Cheery Lynn die.

OK, be sure to check around what the rest of the DT has to share today!

Dream Team Peeks

And the peeks continue!  For today's card I used the new Festive Thank You stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils.  My card is extra blingy thanks to lots of fun glitters from Stampendous! that I used for the double glitter technique.

I started by applying Coconut soap to the back of my stencil then set that aside and stuck one side of the double sticky paper onto cardstock.  When I had my glitters ready to go I pulled off the top of the sticky paper and applied the side with the soap onto the sticky paper.  Next is the fun part of adding your colors.  If you use a small straw and angle the stencil its pretty easy to get the colors just where you want them!

When you have all the open spaces filled, then you gently pull the stencil off and apply a coat of a neutral glitter...I used Crystal Multi.  Simply sake off all the excess, trim and mount!  My paper are from the Jazmyne collection by Bo Bunny and I added a few Dew Drops on the panel that I cut with Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Frames 3.

Be sure to hop around to the other Dream Team's blogs for our last day of peeks.  We ar meeting up at CHA  this weekend!  I'll be sure to take lots of pics next week, and I'll have a few posts scheduled for you as well!

Dream Scheme Thursday

Are you enjoying our week of peeks at the new Dreamweaver Stencils coming next week?  I hope so!  Today I am featuring one of my favorite new background stencils...Paisleys!

I laid the Paisleys stencil over my card stock then lightly misted it with Lime Twist Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.  Don't do it too heavy or it will run underneath!  I then distressed that piece and the rest of the layers with Vintage Photo distress ink from Tim Holtz.

We still have our Valentine's theme going on this month for the Challenge at the Dream It Up blog, so I added the Lovebirds stencil to a small panel of my layout.  I spread Translucent paste over the stencil then after that was dry I colored it with copic markers.

Ta da!  Fast and easy layout with stencils!  Please be sure to join our challenge this month!  and don't forget to hop over to the other DT's blogs to leave them some love on all their eye candy!

Happy and Bright!

Good morning!  Its finally getting cold enough to snow here in NC, but still no snow :(  As much as I hate HOT weather though I have to admit I am looking forward to a few days of mid 70's in California!  So, with warmer weather on the brain, I thought I'd share a spring card today.

Today's card features a new background stencil from Dreamweaver Stencils called Flower Quartrefoil.  It will be available next week!  I ran the stencil through my cuttlebug with an embossing mat and an extra paper shim for more depth, then leaving the stencil in place I stippled Orchid and Peony Versacolor into the flower areas.  The centers I stencilled in yellow, then after I remove the stencil I added Clear Lemon embossing powder to the centers.

Here's a closer look at the flowers and the shading you can create with two shades of the same color.  I used the same stencil to simply dry emboss the yellow background (also using the cuttlebug) but its hard to see from the photo.

The thank you sentiment is a new stencil called Festive Thank You  that I chose to mask off most of the swirls and just leave the dots.  You'll see more of this stencil this week!

The cardstock and ribbon are both from Bo Bunny.  OK, thats it for this morning, but keep checking back in!  And don't forget to visit the other DT's blogs as well!

Dreamweaver Sneaky peekys continue...

Who's getting excited for CHA???  I can't wait to meet all my cyber friends and see some old friends too!  I will be working quite a bit while I'm there and here's where I'll be hanging out:

Stampendous! Booth # 2144
Globecraft Memories Booth # 1689
Lifestyle Crafts Booth # 2287

OK, so today I have another peek for you from Dreamweaver stencils!  The awesome side panel of this card uses the new Waves and Dots background stencil.  I used only a small portion of it for the double glitter technique.  I used Copper, Silver, and Black glitters from Stampendous! for this portion.  The background on the copper cardstock was stamped with Cosmic Copper (Tsukineko)  using Geo Bubbles background from Stampendous!  I then embossed that with Clear detail powder.

The Thank You sentiment is another new lovely font from Dreamweaver coming this week.  This was paste embossed with Black Matte paste then I sprinkled the black glitter over it while still wet.  The yummy ribbon is from May Arts.

Be sure to keep checking back all week for more peeks! and also check out the rest of the Dream Team's blogs for more inspiration!

Dreamweaver Stencils Sneak peek week!

Are you ready for a week of sneak peeks from Dreamweaver Stencils??  The Dream Team is gearing up for CHA next week and we are showcasing new designs all week long!  Today I am showing you one of my favorite new stencils...Retro Sitting Cat!

I stenciled my kitty with Translucent embossing paste and then covered her with Mahogany Jewel Glitter before cutting her out with Nesting Oval dies from Lifestyle Crafts.  The mahogany is a rich almost brown color which goes with this fun old glitter paper by K & co.  Isn't she just the cutest for we cat freaks???

The sentiment was paste embossed as well...another new on from Dreamweaver, a small thank you in such a perfect bold and funky font!  The background was also stenciled with Translucent paste then glittered with Melon Glitter from Stampendous!  There are LOTS of fun new backgrounds headed your way, this on is called Pinwheel Checkerboard and its so fun and retro to match my kitty!

Be sure to hit up all the other DT's blogs all week!  You'll find tons of new fun stencils including more of this little baby dry embossed, zentangled, and more!  All the stencils we are peeking this week will be released at CHA this Sunday and will be shipping to your local stores!  If you don't have a local tore that sells Dreamweaver Stencils then check out Stencil with Style, Lynell's sister's online store for all your stenciling needs!  Or of course, ask your store to hop on board!

Stampendous! Saturday

Ready for another round of Bling for our monthly Stampendous! challenge?  Bring it!  This morning I am sharing one of the cards for my Birds of a Feather Class I am teaching at Enchanted Cottage today.  (If you are local, don't despair...I'm teaching the same class at The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room next month Feb 18th!)

My featured card today has a TON of glitter and bling going on.  I started with Jumbo Cameo Frame stamped in Aged Copper Embossing enamel on Agua cardstock.  After this was heated I went back in and added some Aged Silver embossing enamel to the centers of the flowers using my Versamarker.  The edges were then embossed using Fran's Embedded Jewel Technique with Aged Copper, Tea Stained Mica, and new Blue Glass Glitter.

On a separate brown panel I stamped and embossed Lone Bird in Aged Silver then colored over it with copic markers.  Then I cut this piece out with a Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles die.  The background papers are from Best Creations (which isn't available for my class so we are duplicating the paper with Vintage Mahogany embossing tinsel and Jumbo Romantic Border).

Here's a peek at the other 3 cards for this class if you are interested in taking the class at Betty's next month, or email me for a class kit!

The second card in this class features Jumbo Songbird stamped and embossed with Clear Bark embossing powder.  I cut out the bird then colored him with Inka Gold by Viva Decor using makeup sponges.  The background stamp, NEW Garden background,  is stamped in Peeled Paint distress ink.

The frame was cut with Polynesian Sails oval from Cheery Lynn Designs on white cs then embossed with Detail gold powder.  Sentiment is from Rose Branch Border and ribbon is by May Arts.

Next is my Jumbo Songbird tag that I shared a couple of weeks back, also using Music score bg, Aged Gold Embossing enamel, Shabby Blue embossing Enamel, and Gilded Mica Fragments.

And finally another card I have already shared, again using Lonebird and also the Edge It dies from Lifestyle Crafts.

Be sure to check out the Stampendous! blog for more details and more DT inspiration!  And here's the list of the rest of the DT playing this week:
