Calico Kitty

We're still getting inky with ur stencils over at Dreamweaver Stencils this week!   Come join us for this month challenge: Use ink with your stencils.

I created a Calico Cat using Distress inks from Tim Holtz.  I began by stenciling Retro Standing Cat in Matte Black paste.  After that was dry I added Crackle paste to my cat and let that dry too.

To create the calico effect I placed the clean stencil back over the cat then applied ink with sponge daubers.  I used Spiced Marmalade, Gathered Twigs, and Scattered Straw.  I then added Clear embossing Powder from Stampendous and heated.

Be sure to visit my teamies this week too!

  2. You know my feelings about cats, but this is FABULOUS!!!! Great job. It's to bad that they don't have Calico dogs. HAHA. I guess I could make a "brindle" dog. Have a good day!
