Stampendous meets Maya Road

Are you ready for  week of fun with Stampendous and Maya Road? I am super excited to be able to combine all my Stampendous goodies with some fun embellishments from Maya Road!

Today I created a fun Mixed Media fall tag for you.  My focal image is one of the leaves from the new Jumbo Leaves set.  It was embossed with Aged Bronze Embossing Enamel and then colored with Twinkling H2Os.  On top of the leaf I added some small Vintage Paper Posies from Maya Road that I painted with my Twinks.  This was tied together with some May Arts ribbon and then I added a couple of Vintage Pale Pink Pearl Ball pins that I painted with Silks.

The background tag was sprayed with Dylusions and then stamped in Distress Ink with the Leaf Background.

Heres a shot of the painted pins:

I also added a few flourishes from the Decorative Scrolls chipboard set painted in Silk and then partially embossed with Aged Spice and Aged Wine enamels.

Supplies:
Jumbo Leaves (Stampendous)
Leaf Background (Stampendous)
Aged Wine, Aged Spice, Aged Bronze enamels (Stampendous)

Fall Fun with Dreamweaver Stencils and Art Glitter

Ready to be sparkly? This month is our annual collaboration between Dreamweaver Stencils and Art Glitter, and we promise double the glitter and double the fun! Follow the trail of bling all of this month on the Art Glitter blog, and the Dream It Up! blog. Play along with the monthly challenge of "Awesome in Autumn" and link your creations to the linkytool on the Dream It Up! Thursday posts for a chance to win some stupendous stencils and glamorous glitter! As if that wasn't cool enough, Art Glitter is offering a 20% discount this month if you use the code DW20!

I went with a Halloween color theme this week and incorporated the adorable Open Owl stencil with one of our brand new Dreamweaver dies!  My Owl was done with the double glitter technique using Art Glitter Crystal as well as colors from the Court Jester and Glitter Garden kits.

Here's a closer look at the cute little Halloween Owl:

He's perched on a branch that I created by cutting the Large Leafless Tree die and then snipping off most of the branches so I could turn it sideways to make a branch.  I also added a touch more glitter to the branches with my Quickie Glue pen.

My background paper as well as the sticker words are from Echo Park's Chillingsworth Manor Collection.  (Note I managed to add some glitter to the stickers as well!)

Check out this week's awesomeness which includes our super sparkly guest designer and previous Dream Team member...

Pan Pastels meet Ronda Palazzari's Fancy Feathers

Sunday I taught my first Pan Pastels class at Betty's and we had so much fun!  I wanted to share one of the pages from my teaching journal with you today before I label the page with notes for my next class.

When demoing this page I wanted to show layering with lighter colors of the Pan Pastels then adding Versamark through a stencil with a slightly darker color.  The first part of the page was working beautifully, then the next layer I added looked kind of yuck.  But as I kept adding the feathers to the page and blending the colors, I ended up loving the final piece!

The Fancy Feathers stencil is by Ronda Palazzari for The Crafter's Workshop and it was perfect for the background of this technique.  I kept moving the stencil around and adding variations of the same color combo through the different feathers.  The top versamarked layer was done using one of Jaime's stencils from TCW called Tile Texture.  (There is also a small portion stenciled from Dyan Reaveley's newest Leaf Flourish stencil.)  Stamped images from Tim Holtz set's Way with Words and Classics #4

Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge

I'm up for this week's PCP sketch challenge so I hope you'll join me!  Click HERE for the link to the challenge.

For my card I used a couple of new-ish stamps from Stampendous.

The focal image is Pajama Cat colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  This was layered on a panel that was stamped with Birthday Block which I then cut into 4 pieces.

Last week to play in Dreamweaver Stencils Christmas challenge

You have a few more days to play along with our Christmas in August challenge so don't be late!  Head to the Dreamweaver Stencils blog to find out all the details!

Today I created a card for you using the new adorable Dog Die that matches the Dog stencil!  I pasted the stencil with Matte Black paste and let that dry.  Then I cut my dog with pattern paper.  The pasted area then gives you the perfect foundation to paper piece you dog back together!

I added some paw prints from the Dog words stencil using an ultrafine black marker.  Then I stenciled the Merry Christmas stencil using the same marker.  Ribbon is from May Arts, Pattern paper from Bazzill, and Dotted cardstock from Bo Bunny.

I hope you'll join us this month!  Be sure to also visit all the team playing along this week and leave them some love :)

First pages in my Dylusions Small Creative Journal

Happy Friday morning!  I still haven't shared the first few pages that I created in my new Dylusions Small Creative Journal so I have a handful of them for you today.  I was busy creating for Betty's booth at the Stamp Scrap Art Tour with our newest products followed by a long weekend of classes and fun with Dyan Reaveley herself so I'm a bit behind.

Dyan's new Small Creative Journal is 5x8 and simply adorable!  Its perfect for traveling or when the larger journal size is just too much blank canvas for you to work with!

First up is a page using stamps from some of Dyan's newest sets.  I placed one of the houses from  This Old House onto the legs from Boney Maloney...snicker!  Also the cobweb border is from the new Day of the Heads set.  I'm linking you straight to Dyan's store Art From the Heart so you can see the sets in full, but also we have all the newest Dylusions products (available at this time) at my local store, Betty's Stamping and Scrapbooking Room, if you're in the US and you'd like to give her a call.

Next is a page using one of the little monsters from Monster Mash along with the fence from This Old House.  I created my skull lights with the Oh Christmas Tree stencil.  I'm loving how the monsters from the last release will mix with all the new skull stamps!

And a slightly more subdues page using the Flossie stencil from the Couture Collection.

I have more to share another day plus pages that I created during Dyan's classes so be sure to check back!
