Deconstructed Sketch #2

Happy Saturday! It looks to be a beautiful day today but I have so much to do inside! My little guy went to the Farmer's Market this morning with his Grandparents so HOPEFULLY I will get some work done...because tonight I have a date with my youngest to go see Thor :)

This morning I have a card for you using this week's Deconstructed Sketch. I used Puddle Jumper School Landon from byLORIdesigns. Isn't he a doll? Well, all of her images are! I paired him with some fun Cosmo Cricket paper for my color scheme.

Here's the sketch if you want to play along. You have until next Wednesday night. Click HERE to get the details.

Here's a closeup of Landon for you. And you can see the cute border punch a bit better....I love how these EK punches punch AND emboss at the same time!

This card is also for this weeks By LORi designs Challenge...all about BOY. Conveniently you have til Wednesday night to play along with that one too!

The sentiment is from School for Changito by Stampendous! Its a retired set, but some of the big box stores still have them in stock! You can also see the embossed panel better in this view, I used the jumbo Typeset Cuttlebug folder.

Challenge List:
by LORi Designs: all about BOY
Pile It On: Boys and Girls come out to Play
Cute Card Thursday: Let's Get Crafty
A Spoonful of Sugar: Anything Goes

Alrighty then, have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by! If you don't go see Thor like me (I know, I am a TOTAL nerd!) don't forget to go check out Johnny in the new Pirates movie!!

  1. This is gorgeous! I love the papers you used and the bow you made... they are perfect and your dry embossing looks fantastic! Mine never comes out that crisp and clean. Thanks for using this week's Deconstructed Sketch!

  3. This is so very adorable. Funny, but I never remember my mom (or any moms) who sent gifts to the teachers when I was a kid. Perhaps they did and I just didn't notice.

Anywho, your son's teacher is a lucky person to get such a great card, so expertly colored. Awesome job!
