CHA January 2001 Part 1

Sorry for no posts for the last couple of days. I came back from LA to mass confusion in my house, but thats another story for another day.

Today, since I haven't had any stamping time for a few days I am going to share some photos from CHA. These are the first of many. The ones today are all from the Stampendous! booth.

Stampendous! proudly introduced its newest line of stamps: Jumbo Cling Rubber! These babies are simply fantastic! Below are some shots of one corner of the booth. In house designer Tammie created some fabulous home decor on canvas!

Here's a shot of all the new Jumbos available through your local store! Don't have one? Click HERE to go to the store finder on the Stampendous! website!

Here are some pillows that Tammie stamped with acrylic paints!

And of course a view of the whole couch!

Totally cool right? I will post more pics another day! Thanks for stopping in :)

Our first Desert Islands Crafts Challenge

Its time for the very first challenge over at Desert Islands Crafts Challenge!

Our fearless Captain Suzi has given us our first itinerary for this challenge:

My Desert Island Itinerary
1)Stitching & Piercing
2)Pearls & Gems
3)Embossing
4)Die Cuts
5)Sparkle - Glitter etc
6) Ribbon & Flowers
7) A Hand Coloured Image - rubber or digi stamp, coloured with your fave medium
8)Theme - Mystical & Fantasy Creatures
9) Colour Scheme - Bright Pink & Black
10) Colour Scheme - Rainbow Colours

You must use at least 5 items from the Itinerary, the rest is up to you :)

From the itinerary that Suzi gave us I chose 6 of the items:

A digital image colored with copics

Ribbons and flowers

Die cuts

Pearls and gems

Sparkle & Glitter

Mystical & Fantasy

You could actually say that I used the rainbow color scheme as well…if you look closely at the hair it’s a nice reddish shade, and the inside of the flower is yellow…so that hits all but orange!

I used Fairy Lily from Pink Cat Studio for my image. I purchased her a couple of years back and she has been sorely unused for awhile. Lily was colored with copics to match the fun bright colors from the Bo Bunny Peacock paper collection. After cutting her her, I popped her up on some yummy double dot Bo Bunny cardstock cut with Labels 10 Nestabilties.

The sentiment is also from Pink Cat Studio.

Do you like the funky little purple viney things? I picked those up at Michael’s in various bright colors during Christmas…I cut them apart and thought they would make fun card embellishments! The vine are tied up with a polka dot organdy bow then adhered to the center of a couple of flowers from my stash.

The card was completed with some Lime Green and Waterfall stickles and pearl accents.

Challenge List:

Desert Island Crafts Challenge Blog : Challenge 1

Cute Card Thursday: sketch

Fab n Funky: Delight in your Digi

Pile It On: Punch It!

Delicious Doodles: Spots or Stripes

Sisterhood of Crafters: Anything Goes

We would love for us to join us for our challenge! You could win a guest spot and a chance to set the next itinerary. You have 2 whole weeks to complete your project, then head over to the DICC blog to link it up! Also, be sure to visit the rest of the DT and see what kind of gorgeous eye candy they have in store for you. And don't forget to leave everyone some love :)

Thanks for popping by today! Hope you have a great one :)

Pixie Dust STudio Release Day

Its release day at Pixie Dust Studio today! Kathy has released the the cutest new set called Cupid's Corner. Here's a pic of all the images in the new set. They can be purchased separately or as a bundle at Pixie Dust Studio.

For my card I used the image Jar of Hearts. This is such an adorable image and very fun to color with all the dots and stripes and hearts. I matched it up to Peacock paper from Bo Bunny

Here's the closeup of the jar and the coloring.

The 3 hearts were cut with the Standard Hearts Nestabilities templates and I added a pearl and some Bo Bunny ribbon.

OK, thats it! I'm sitting out in Anaheim, taking a break from CHA. Went to Disneyland with my friend Laura tonight and had a blast! Back to CHA tomorrow :)

Stampendous! is so excited to announce our latest new product line...Jumbo Cling Rubber. They are ideal for use on textiles, walls, and all sorts of home décor projects. We felt like the best way to really introduce you to the possibilities was to invite you to our Jumbo Blog Hop! We’re going to start off our hoppin’ at the Stampendous! blog with some of her amazing creations. You’ll be able to see how to make these fabulous treasures on our new series of YouTube videos very soon.

Wendy

The first project I have to share with you today is a large card that I created with the new Jumbo Cling Rubber Hydrangea set. This flower is simply gorgeous and has so many possibilities. I chose to do a resist effect by stamping it on smooth white card stock with a Versamark stamp pad which I then heat embossed with Stampendous! White embossing powder.

Using multiple colors of Versacolor ink I swiped the small pads over the embossed image. After I was happy with the mixed color effect I wiped the excess off the embossed image leaving the white standing out.

The beauty of these new large stamps is that I could have stopped there for the card front and it would have been a standard A2 size. But I chose to make the card larger by making this panel just one of the layers. The sentiment is from SSC1117 Sincere Sentiments Perfectly Clear Stamp set. cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilitie and then I added some gems in the corner from Creative Impressions.

The second project I want to share today is a layout that I created with 2 different new Jumbo Cling Rubber Sets. The 3 large medallions on the left of the page are from the new Jumbo Cling Rubber Thinking of You set.

These I embossed with a versamark pad and Stampendous! Paprika embossing powder. I added a small pearl to the center of each (Creative Impressions). I love that Stampendous! has so many colors of embossing powders. Sometmes I want a bright effect, but in this instance I wanted the color to be very subtly different from the background

Beside the photo of Katie, I also embossed the swirl stamp from the new Jumbo Cling Rubber Rose set. This was embossed in a darker shade of brown…this time I used Clear Bark embossing powder. I added a dark brown felt flower to the flourish and then gave it leaves using some Stampendous! Velvet Class a peel stickers.

All of the new jumbo sets are simply gorgeous! They are perfect not only for cards but for scrapbooking, home décor and more! I hope you’ve enjoyed visiting with me today. Now its time to hop over to Jennie’s blog. I am sure she will have amazingly inspirational eye candy!

Don't forget to leave comments on EVERYONE'S blog post in order to qualify for the drawing. Stampendous! will be giving away 2 each of the 9 new Jumbo Cling Rubber sets plus a new Jumbo Clear Handle! You have until midnight Tuesday to leave comments!

Thanks so much for hopping by today!
