Peruvian Lilies

This week is all about flowers at Stampendous!  We have loads of new floral stamps just released and today I am sharing a Scrapbook page that I made for the April catty with one of the new floral Jumbo stamps: Jumbo Peruvian Lily.

For this layout I started with a piece of 12x12 watercolor paper and sprayed Crushed Grape Dylusions through the Quatrefoil stencil from The Crafters Workshop and Funky Fuchsia Dylusions through the TCW Echoes stencil randomly on the background.

After that was dry I edged the paper with Seedless Preserves Distress Paint from Ranger and then let that dry.  Next I added the flourish stamp from Peruvian Lily around the edges of the cardstock with black archival ink.

I matted a large black and white pic of my daughters on black cardstock and adhered that to the page.

Finally I sprayed a whole piece of watercolor paper with Funky Fuchsia and then stamped 2 sets of the lilies.  After that was dry I cut them apart and mounted them on my page with dimensional adhesive.

Be sure to check back this week, we'll have oodles more florals for you to ooh and ahh over at the Stampendous blog!

Stampendous April Catalog Release Peeks Continue!

Have you enjoyed all the peeks this week of the new Stampendous stamps?  I sure have!  Today is our last day of featuring the Oz line but check back over the next few weeks because we will be doing a new feature each week!  Be sure to pop over to the Stampendous blog frequently to see all the wonderful new additions.

Today's card is one I had a blast creating. (Click on the photo above to enlarge and see the whole card)  I used 4 of the new Oz stamps: Overlooking Oz, Scarecrow Reader, Tin Man Reader, and Lion  Reader.  Each was stamped on Kraft cardstock and then colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The background dotted paper is from Bazzill and I added a touch of Fran'tage to the corners in Aged Copper Embossing Enamel and Bronze Crushed Glass glitter from the Bronze Encrusted Jewel 5 jar kit

The card base is Black Bazzill and was cut with the Sizzix Accordion Album Flip 3D and the Frame & Label Bracket dies.  I cut 4 of each and you simply attach them together with the little tabs that they cut.

Overlooking Oz

Follow the yellow brick road all this week to the Stampendous Blog where we are featuring all the newly released  Oz stamps!  Today I have this card up on the Stampendous blog.

It features Dorothy in the Overlooking Oz stamp.  She's been colored with my Spectrum Noir markers (HB1, HB2, IB2, IB1, EB2, EB1, TN1, TN2, EB4, FS4, FS2) I tucked her into an embossed panel done with one of Tim Holtz's new folders then added the Wander Lost sentiment stamp on a banner.  Sentiment was embossed in Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel.

I added more of the Taupe and elements from the Blue Encrusted Jewel 5 jar kit to the corner of the main panel.  She was so fun to color and could be done in so many different combos!  Stay tuned for Friday when I share this stamp on another card :)

Stampendous and Project Life Blog Hop

Its another day of scrapping with Stampendous and Project Life!  Today is our Blog Hop so be sure to head to the Stampendous blog to see who all is hopping along!

I've really enjoyed working in this format and now I need to get more of the protectors!  I may try to do the weekly recap pages that lots of gals do :)

This time I decided to do a page about my recent class at Donna Downey's studio.  For "mats" for my some of my photos I used some Ranger #10 tags and added some Distress paint around the edges and added some streaks before I adhered my photos.

For the Make Art tag I simply covered the tag with Distress paint and then stamped the brand new "Art Elements" stamp in Archival black ink.  (this stamp will be available soon at your local stamp stores)  I cut the tag in half to slip into the divided pockets :)

On the tag with the pic of Donna I stamped her name with the new Vintage Upper case and Vintage Lower case alphabets and added some tissue tape.

Thanks for popping in today!  I'm up in Massachusetts for a weekend of classes so I'll be scarce for a few days :)  -Cyndi

Showers and Drizzles create puddles of mud!

Its my week to post for the Dreamweaver Thursday Challenge and we are still about about Spring Showers and drizzles and Mists...

I'm stretching this a bit thanks to an idea from my friend Pam...Showers create mud, right? And I have a muddy mess on my Metal clock!  I used the back of the navy aluminum (so its silver) and Dry Embossed the Steampunk clock through my Cuttlebug.  Then I created my muddy mess with alcohol ink and blending solution.  After that was dry I sanded the embossed areas so you can see the silver better.

I even added alcohol ink to some Gear charms in the corner.

I hope you'll join us this month...theres 2 weeks left to play along to win your favorite stencil!

Stampendous meets Project Life!

This week the Stampendous gals are so excited to be working with the Project Life products from Becky Higgins!  I was lucky enough to speak to Becky at length on the last day of CHA when things had slowed down.  What a wonderful and fun person she is!  Her dream of bringing scrapbooking back into the daily lives of former scrappers is fabulous and she makes it so easy to do!

I printed some recent photos from  "birthday week"...two of my kids have bdays in the same week so we go out to eat and celebrate a lot that week!

I backed some of the photos on bright Core'dinations cs since they don't print quite 4x6 on my printer.  For the journaling block I stamped a border fromKIddo Birthday Perfectly Clear set and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I also stamped a panel with the new Birthday background (coming SOON to a store near you) and colored that in as well.  Project Life offers cute cards for all the pocket sizes but its fun to stamp your own as well!!

Be sure to head to the Stampendous blog to see more Project Life and of course Becky's blog too!

Art Journal Challenge

I'm hosting the 3D challenge over at Paper Craft Planet this week and I hope you'll join me in creating an art journal page!  This is one I've been meaning to get around to forever about my Starbuck's addiction :)

I started with some Ranger Distress paint and Adirondack paints on my page then added a bit of Cotton Candy Gelato through my Hexagon stencil from TCW.  Next I added a corner of the 12x12 Cityscape stencil and one of the Casey Penelope silhouettes and sponged brown paint around these.

Added more Cotton Candy Gelato (Faber-Castell) on the brown areas, did a sketchy outline with my Med tip Faber-Castell Pitt pen.  I used the same pen to journal inside my chick.

I've been picturing sticking the coffee sleeve on my page forever and was inspired to finally do this when I saw Mou Saha's upcycle challenge for Faber-Castell.  I peeled the inside corrugated layer out then trimmed it up to tag size and painted and stenciled on that too!

Stampendous Micro Glitter Challenge

This month's challenge at Stampendous is all about Micro Glitter Magic!  Stampendous has the BEST glitter and assortment of colors and textures out there and the Micros are just as great!

This is a tag(card) that I sent for January CHA and the January catalog.  It features the new Pomegranate stamp, Seed background, and lots of fun essentials.

The Seed background was stamped onto a  tag previously inked with Distress stains.  Then I stamped the Pomegranate twice, once onto the background and again on to scrap.  I colored the scrap piece with my Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out and popped it up.

At the botttom of the tag I added some Fran'tage using the new Lime Micro Glitter, Amethyst Color Fragments ,and Aged Scarlet Embossing Enamel.  Tag was layered onto Core'dinations Tim Holtz Kraft Core Collectioncardstock base folded and sanded.

There are so many ways to use micro glitter!  Be sure to hop by the Stampendous blog this month for more posts from the DT for our challenge!

Monster Mash

Morning peeps!  I'm sharing a journal page I made a few weeks ago and forgot to share.  We get together once a month on Sundays at our "Dylus-a-thon" at Betty's.  always lots of inky fun and chatting :)  Who needs crops anymore?  Now we can art journal together!

For this page I finally got to play with Dyan Reaveley's new Monster sets...Monster Mash and Mischievous Malcolm.  Oh my word are they cute and fun to color!  All images were colored with Dylusions inks in Ranger waterbrushes.

LOVING that spider!  And I had to have some little monster heads peeping in from the sides :)

Looking forward to taking Ranger classes all day in just over a week!!

OK,  that's it today! Short and sweet :)  Have a great one!

Stampendous Sneak Peek

Do you love all the Jumbo stamps from Stampendous?  Well good news then, because there are more new ones coming to your local store in just a few weeks!  Today I am peeking the Calla Lily Jumbo stamp and I am totally in love with it!

My lilies were stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with Detail Black EP.  I colored them with a selection of pinks, peach, and white Gelatos from Faber-Castell then cut them out.

The background of my #12 tag from Ranger is sprayed with Cut Grass and Fresh Lime Dylusions ink sprays.  I then sprayed White Linen Dylusions through Dina Wakley's Vine stencil from The Crafter's Workshop.  For a final touch I stamped the Seed Background stamp from Stampendous all over the background in Archival black ink.

My lilies are popped up with dimensional tape and then tied on with some gorgeous iridescent May Arts ribbon.  Hope you like it!  Be sure to hop over to the Stampendous blog over the next few weeks for more peeks :)

Dreamweaver Thursday Challenge

Happy April!  Are you ready for a new chalenge from Dreamweaver Stencils?  This month we want to see your projects about Rain, Showers, Drizzle, Mist, etc...do you get the idea?  Then ready, set, go!!

I thought I would pull out this new Star is Born stencil and create a Baby shower card.  The small sentiment stencil is paired with the Stars stencil.

Both were stenciled with White Glossy paste onto a fuchsia pattern paper new from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I love the lavender or fuchsia and yellow combo for little girls :)

I also added some yellow polka dot ribbon from PTI under my popped up sentiment.

I hope you get a chance to pay with us this month!

And don't forget to visit the team's blogs this week and leave them some love!  Did I tell you we have a new 2013/2014 Dream Team?  We'll be splitting the month into A and B teams.  We ALS have my good friend Alison Heikkila playing along as a Guest Designer this month!  Welcome Ali!
