Stampendous New Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Stampendous October Catalog new release Blog Hop!  We hope you've enjoyed this week of peeks of all the fun new stamps!  Be sure to hop around to all the Design Team's blogs today and leave comments for a chance to win a brand new stamp!

For today I wanted to share an art journal page that I completed using a couple of the newest stamps.  I began by covering my page with gesso then let that dry.  Next I sprayed on some Dylusions ink sprays.  (The sprays over the gesso will give a lovely pastel color)

I then stamped the new Hydrangea Bunch 3 times in Archival Black ink.  I painted these in using Claudine Helmuth's acrylic paints watered down a bit ...not really neatly, just adding color.

Next I added a few of the Leaf Sprigs stamp, also in Archival black.  I added some paint and Gelatos around the edges of the flowers and the edge of the page in slightly darker colors.

I then took my Music Score background stamp and inked that with black then rolled it onto my page (holding it in my hand and not using a stamp block) to give partial images randomly over the page.

Next I added some more white gesso throughDylusions Diamond of a Border stencil to add some texture and then did a bit of doodling with my white sharpie pen.

The last steps were adding a folded tag and sentiments to the inside and out.  I used the Life is Art stamp, and inked part for the fron tof the tag and part for the inside.  This was adhered using Fast Finish Decoupage from Beacon.  Then I added a strip of Teal Dot Washi tape from Bella Blvd down the side of my journal page right up to the spine.

OK, so now its time to hop on and see the rest of the fabulous inspiration for today!
