Week of the Living Dead...

Its an attack of the Zombies this week at Simply Betty Stamps!  We are releasing 6 adorable, comically spooky new Teen Zombies this week, and I am previewing 3 of them for you today!

First up is Fairy Queen Rio and she was so much fun to work with!  I chose to play with one of my favorite Halloween paper collections ever for these cards…last years Whooligan’s Line from Bo Bunny.  I created a center step card with Rio and added a new sentiment from Stampendous!  All of my glitters are also from Stampendous! I used Tigerlily, Ocean Spray, Black, Mint and Violet.

And if you’ll notice at the bottom of the main panel I finally got the Drippy Goo punch by Martha Stewart!  Yeah me!

Next is Trick or Treat Miller all scrunched up in his wagon ready to be pulled along for the ride!  (Notice his pile of goodies includes not just candy, but some hands and fingers as well…bwahahaaaa!!)

Once again I used my brand spankin new Martha Drippy Goo punch, and added some free hand doodling around the border of Wonky Squares Nestabilite.  Sentiment is also by Stampendous! and the layout for the card is this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen G.

Finally today I have what started as not my favorite image (tomorrow you get to see my fav!) but after working on the card I lurve how she turned out!! This is Spider Queen London ready to greet you at her door with loads of candy and her sweet Spider companions J

I used this week’s Deconstructed sketch for this one, another Stampendous! sentiment and glitter and my Martha Spiderwed border punch.  The spiders and corners are Class-a-Peel stickers also by Stampendous!

OK, so I hope I didn’t scare you too much today, LOL.  Please be sure to hop over to the Simply Betty Stamps Blog to see more samples from the DT and to leave a comment to win one of these three stamps!

Stampendous! Saturday

Good morning peeps!  I am so thrilled that its finally cooling off just a tad down south!  Plus Davie High won their football game last night, so its a good day!!  This morning I have a Stampendous card to share with you that I created with the new Cling Magical Snowman.

For this card I started by spritzing my tag with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist sprays in Tattered Rose, Patina, and Creme de Chocolat.  That was heat set.  Then I stmped my snowman in Versamark ink and embossed him with Aged Copper Embossing Enamel, one of the lovely new embossing powders in Stampendous' new Fran'tage Collection.

I went back to the tag and rubbed some chalks from Craf-T Products into some areas, and finished him off by coloring the heart with a Versamarker and then adding Aged Silver Embossing  Enamel.

The background pink card is stamped off in Sepia Versafine ink from Tsukineko using Cling Fall Tendril stamp.  On the burgundy mat after I ripped the edges I swiped my Versamark pad across the tear then added more of the Aged Copper Powder and some Tarnished Mica Fragments, another Stampendous! Fran'tage essential.  I finished the tag off with some Brown Sheer/Satin stitched ribbon by May Arts  and a copper finding.

Be sure to also check out the Stampendous! blog today for more DT samples of this month's Sketch Challenge!  You still have until the end of September to play along, so please come join us!

Double Challenge

Its Double Challenge Day!  Today is "Its so Funny" at Fab'n'Funky and its also a color challenge at Inky Impressions!  Since I'm on both teams I ended up with one card...this cute new image called Mischievous Christopher from Inky Impressions.  Don't you just want to give him a hug?

The color challenge for the week is Brown and Cornflower Blue so I found this fun old Bo Bunny paper in my stash for my color inspiration.  I also used Karen Giron's sketch challenge at The Sweetest Thing for my layout.

Here's a closeup at Christopher:

And here is the sentiment that I used, for that touch of funny,  also from Inky Impressions.  Behind him you'll see that I used a zig zag border punch from EK Success and also some grass that I cut with my Martha Stewart grass scissors.

Alrighty! So hop to it, you have lots of challenges to go play in!!  For the Inky Impressions Challenge you can use any image, but you get 2 entries if you use an Inky image!  For Fab'n'Funky our sponsor this week is Robyn's Digital Fetish...winner receives 5 digital images!

Challenge List:
Inky Impressions: Brown & Cornflower Blue (DT)

For my card I pulled out some old papers from a DCWV stack and added some SU! Ribbon and some brads.  I did the doodling by hand with a Copic multi liner and used Petite ovals and Labels 13 for my main panel.

Stampendous is so excited to be bringing something NEW to you! Each month on the first Saturday, we will share a brand new challenge with you - it might be a sketch, or colors, or a fun new technique to try. You'll have an entire month to play along with us! And what would a challenge be without a prize? We'll draw a random winner from all qualifying entries at the end of the month, who will win that month's prize.

We're kicking off the new Stampendous Saturday Challenge with a Sketch for September, drawn by Wendy Price. To play along with us and be eligible to win the Cling Jumbo Romantic Border we're giving away this month, make a card or project using our sketch, upload it to your blog or other online gallery (keyword: STM01), and add the direct link to the linky tool on the Stampendous blog. You have until Thursday, September 29th at 11:00 PM PST to play! You don't have to use a Stampendous image or products to play along, but we sure love it when you do!

OK, for my card I tried something a bit different for me, its sort of a spotlight technique.  Based on our sketch I stamped the Eiffel Tower and some of the collage accessories from the Perfectly Clear Eiffel Tower set on my background.  I stamped it again then punched out pieces with circle punches and lined them up on top.  Lastly I added a touch of Silver Crushed Glass Glitter and  Pearlized Mica Fragments to the corners of the card panel.  Cardstock is from Bazzill and ribbon is from May Arts.

Be sure to head over to the Stampendous blog to check out all the details, see more inspiration from our designers, and to add your link to the linky tool!

Also, stop by these blogs to see what my other Stampendous teammates have created with the sketch:

Back to Skool with Simply Betty Stamps Challenge

**If you are here for the Inky Impressions Blog Hop click HERE***

Ready to head back to school and hit the books?  School girl Betty is ready!  She’s from the Simply Betty Stamps  Teen Scene Back to Skool Collection J

Our challenge for the scrap team this week is to create any project but a card for Back to School…a notebook, goodie bag, or in my case a mini-album.  I thought it would be fun to give my daughter an almost blank book to put some candid shots in of her and her friends during the first weeks of school.  (Which daughter you ask?  Whichever one reads my post gets it…bwahahaaaa)

For the construction of the mini book I pulled out the Santa’s Workshop LE dies from QuicKutz.  I used the Gingerbread size album and cut the cover (twice to reinforce it), pages, pocket, and some embellishments.  I also added some random punches, flowers, charms, clips, and ribbon.  The glitter border and accents are Stampendous! glitters (Mahogany, Ocean Spray, and Crystal multi)

I have a few peeks at the inside pages…there are many more waiting for my DD to fill in other bits and pieces and personalize it for herself.

Please be sure to join us this week at the Simply Betty Stamps challenge blog…there are always fun prizes to be had!  You don’t have to use a SBS image to participate, but we LOVE to see them, and the more participants the more PRIZES!!  Betty is always so generous!  (The Get Sketchy card challenge is still open til next Thursday as well)  And you have 2 weeks for today's challenge :)

Also, be sure to hop over to our Paper Craft Planet group to see a fabulous new stamp that will be FREE when we reach 500 followers!  It’ll be a limited time…so you have to be on the lookout and hurry!

Challenge List:
Pile It On: Girls Just wanna have fun
Scrapbook Sisters: anything goes

Thanks for popping in today!!  Hope you have a fabby weekend!!
