Stampendous! Spookiness and BLOG Candy!!

Do you know what today is??  Its Stampendous! Saturday again which means BLOG CANDY!!

My winner of last week's Blog Candy....drum roll.....#10 Jingle!!  Woo Hoo!  You have 1 week to contact me with your mailing address so I can get Stampendous! to send off your stamps!!

For today I am still in Halloween mode so I thought I would share a couple of cards made with the brand new Halloween background stamps!  Are these fabulous or what?!!  You can let the image stand by itself or use it as a background.  My first card is using the new  CRR129R Cling Pumpkin Fence.   Its embossed with Stampendous! black EP over a background that was first spritzed with multi colors of Glimmer Mist.

My second card features CRR130R Cling Beware Gate, stamped in Black, then chalked over.  I used a touch of the new fabulously beautiful FREG024R Aged Gold Embossing Enamel around the edges.

For this week's BLOG CANDY, I am going to let the winner choose which of these 2 stamps they would rather have:

Beware Gate

or  Pumpkin Fence
You have until next Friday night at Midnight to leave me a comment.  As always, you don't have to be a follower, but I would love it if you would Follow me!!  Please also head over to the Stampendous Facebook page and follow all the goings on there too!!

AND, who else has Stampendous! blog candy this week??

LOTS of chances to win!!  Please help us spread the word!

Pretty baby Pixie in Pink

OK, when asked what my favorite color is, my answer would never be pink.  Maybe Lime green, teal, purple, orange, red.   Never pink.  Not that I have anything against pink, its just not a favorite.

Well, today’s Pixie Dust Challenge is to use your favorite color to create a monochromatic card.  So why did I pick pink?  Who knows.  I guess I was just in the mood.

Plus I wanted to show off another of the adorable Oh, baby! Images that were released in the Pixie Dust Studio last week!  This little cutie patootie is called Baby girl, hehe.

I kept her and my papers in shades of pink/melon except that itty bit of stripe that I just had to cheat and throw in.  My papers are from Little Yellow Bicycle and that stripe just begged me to use it.

OK, so no talking your head off today.  We would love if you would join us in this week’s Pixie Dust Challenge!  You don’t have to use a Pixie image, but we LOVE it when you do!

      Challenge List:

Thanks for popping in today, hope you have a great one :)

Fab 'n' Funky Challenges you to Clashing Colors

Its a new challenge this week at Fab'n'Funky and we would like to see some clashing colors!!  OK, that is so hard to do as an "artist" because if colors just don't go, then why create it, right?  So I cheated and went with bright colors, which to some of you I'm sure, clash.

Our sponsor this week is Bonibleaux Designs and you could be chosen to be the winner of a fabulous image!   This is actually a card from my files that I haven't shared yet.  I created for that store which shall not be named using a Stamping Bella and a bunch of Nestabilities.  Paper is from Bo Bunny.

Thanks for visiting me today!  Hope you stay chilled :)

A sweet little Notebook

Happy Monday!  Its been a hectic week around my house with 3 birthdays and lots of visiting family, so I have been so tickled  to have crafting time again!

Today I have for you a little notepad.  I picked up a pack  of these 3x5  notepads at Office Max.  I created the base of the cover with a 10 3/8" x 3" piece of cardstock, then added lots of fun patterns from October Afternoon.   To complete the project I added sweet Little Lili.  You can find Lili's Ice Crem in the Inky Impressions store!

Stampendous! Saturday and BLOG CANDY!!

Happy hot, hot, hot Saturday! It should be near 100 here in NC yet again, so I am thinking ahead to fall and Halloween! And I obviously have Halloween candy on the brain as well....so before I show you my card for today I bet you want to know who won last week's Stampendous! Blog Candy?

Random.org picked #6, AmyJRockstar! Amy Jo, come on down!!

So, with candy on the brain and all I thought it would be fun to show you my absolute favorite card I made for the new Stampendous! catalog. Meet Scruffles!! He is what the Stampendous! DT lovingly refers to as Fluffle's evil twin :) OMG! He is so my cat Roxie!

Here's the whole card. I used a combo of Labels 4 and circle Nestbilites from Spellbinders for the layers, then added some hand doodling. I didn't add any glitter to him cause I wanted him to stand out for who he is...and of course a snippy kitty like this would NEVER stand still for letting you add glitter or flock or even a collar, right?

Since I used this awesome ribbon, already complete with stitching I just had to stitch my panels! The peek of pattern paper is by Best Creations, ribbon from May Arts. And the Halloween sentiment is from the Stampendous! set Costume Kids.

So, who wants to win their very own Scruffles Candy stamp? Me, me, me..oh, wait, I have one! Silly me. You want one! (Oh, and I'm throwing in a sentiment to go with it, cause they are so generous I know they won't mind!)

Just leave me a comment on this post....you have until next Friday at midnight EST. I would LOVE for you to Follow me, but its not a requirement...and I would love for you to go "like" Stampendous! on Facebook!

NOW, I also need to tell you that the Stampendous! blog candy is going to be WEEKLY for the next 6 weeks, courtesy of Stampendous! WooHoo! AND, there is even More Blog candy from the DT ! Go check out:
So, what are you waiting for?

Stampendous! Saturday and BLOG CANDY

Its once again time for Stampendous! Saturday! Before I get started on this week’s project I need to share the winner from last week’s sketch challenge. I only had one brave stamper take me up on the challenge, and that was fellow DT member Wendy Jordan! Here is her absolutely stunning creation!

Thanks so much for playing along with me Wendy! The set is yours if you don’t have it already! I wil do another challenge again soon!!

This week I am sharing a card that I created with the brand new set Cling Three Gifts (CRW064). It will be available soon at your local store! For my card I first stamped the Cling Music Score background stamp (CRR103-R) in Vintage Sepia Versafine ink. After that was dry I stamped the Three Gifts stamp in Versamark ink and embossed it with Stampendous! Opaque White Embossing Powder (EP100-R).

Next I rubbed over the three bottles with various Tim Holtz distress inks: Victorian Velvet, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters. The edges of the panel were distressed with the Vintage Sepia pad. The burgundy cardstock layer was dipped into the edge of my Versamark pad and embossed with the White powder after I cut it with decorative scissors. Ribbon is by May Arts.

This week I am giving away the stamp Cling Music Score , courtesy of Stampendous!, to one lucky winner! All you have to do is leave me a comment here. Easy peasy. I would really love it if you would also head over to the Stampendous! blog and leave a comment on any post…there are some GORGEOUS creations this week as we teamed up with May Arts.

Also today there is MORE Stampendous! Blog candy up for grabs at Taylor Usry’s blog The Quiet Moments and Wendy Jordan’s blog Paper Therapy! Spread the word! Check in at all the Stampendous! DT gals' blogs for the next few weeks for LOTS of Blog Candy!!

Desert Island Crafters Challenge

>

It’s a SteamPunk kind of day! At lest that’s part of the challenge at Desert Island Crafters this week! This week we are going from Sharon R’s Itinerary:

Steampunk
Clocks
Monotone
Beads
Collage
Asian
Charms
Mystery
Die Cuts
Black & White

I used Steampunk, Clocks (gears), monotone, collage, charms, die cuts, and black & white. I cheated a bit on my Steampunk because Pixie Dust Studio does have a really cute Steampunk Pixie but silly me started coloring the wrong one…this is Circus Princess. But I think she works perfectly!

My gadgets are die cut with Tim Holtz Gadgets and Gears over Graphic 45 Steampunk paper. I also cuttle-bugged my Clockworks folder on another print for added texture in my collage. The large metal frame is from my stash, the grommets from SU! and the charm is by Inky Impressions.

Scroll down for my Inky Impressions Inspiration post today.

And don't forget:

  • today is the last day for my sketch challenge last week
  • Tomorrow I have Stampendous! blog candy going up, as do more of the Stampendous! DT girls
  • Today is Harry Potter release day at Simply Betty Stamps! Go the The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge Blog to see some Potter magic!
Thanks for visting! Have a great weekend!
