Pixielicious Kit, Question & Blog Candy!!

I've recently added a new kit to the store, along with some other fun stuff! (Click on the photo for a larger image)

This is the 2 page layout that I created with the Pixielicious Kit! The kit contents are shown below: 5 sheets of solid Bazzill card stock, 4 sheets of double sided Cosmo Cricket Pixielicious papers, a chipboard alhabet, half of a package of Cosmo Cricket Pixie buttons, and 2 yards of ribbon in (2 ft each of 3 patterns). Also included are instructions for above layout :)

I had enough left over to make this card...but there are still tons of leftovers...enough for a couple more cards!

(Stamp for card is by Stampendous)

ALSO, a question for you:
If looking at a page on a blog post I assume everyone would rather see pics? What about pics of a layout kit for purchase? Pics or no pics?

AND.....BLOG CANDY!!
Who wants to win a Pixielicious kit? Head HERE and leave me a comment for a chance to win the kit shown above!!

All Bundled Up!

Its time for this weeks Stampendous! Saturday Challenge! The fabulous Rachel drew our sketch for us this week, and I PROMISE I will do a card with it this weekend! But in the meantime, I do have a card made with one of the new Stampendous! cuties for you today!

Isn't she a little doll? I used the Stampendous Cling set "Cutie Bundles" for my main image. And of course I had to fluff her up a bit with some Stampendous Pixie Pink Flocking! At the top for the bling I used Stampendous Red dot Sparkler Class-a-Peel stickers.
Other products used: Mitten Nestabilities, Christmas Ornaments Cuttlebug folder, and Creative Impressions ribbon.

OK, so here's the sketch from Rachel if you want t play along! Check in at the Stampendous! blog this weekend for the details or at our group in Papercraft Planet!

OK, have a great breezy and sunny Saturday! Girls are at a band festival today, and we WON the game vs Regan last night! Unbelievable!

Harry and Hermione go Trick or Treating

Its time for Pixie Dust Studio's Thursday Challenge...this week its "Happy Halloween" and be sure to include some orange and black on your project! I chose to pull back out Harry Potter and his friend Hermione (from Pixie Dust Studio's Harry Potter Collection) and thought they could go trick or treating in some Halloween colors :)

I used leftover pieces from the Whooligans kit available at The Scrappy Chick Boutique for the card layers and embellishments. Also added a bit of stitching again today, this time in black to add a bit more black to my color scheme.

Be sure to head over to the Pixie Dust Challenge blog to get all the details, see lots of eye candy from the DT and to play along this week!! And stay tuned, there's new Pixie goodness coming your way next week!!

Meet Joey!

I just have to share today that I got an email from Gerda a few days ago asking me to see how I liked working with her new digi images. I immediately replied that the lines were nice and clean, not too thin, and easy to resize. And of course I loved the adorable whimsical image she sent me :)

She has JUST opened her new store online...TODAY and let me tell you, there are a ton of adorable images already there ready for you to purchase!! Go check it out at Stamp Fairy. And her new blog: Stamp Fairy News

I ran home and printed Joey Snowman and then colored him in. Isn't he precious?! He's paired with some fun bright colored papers from 3 Bugs in a Rug which can be found in my store, The Scrappy Chick Boutique! I have them in 12 x 12 and 6x6!!

I cut Joey out and adhered him to an octagon cut with my Nesties. I sewed it to a larger Nestie than popped that up on the card. The white border at the bottom was created with my Martha Stewart icicle punch. The sentiment is by CC Designs, punched with an oval punch then adhered to a Mitten Nestabilties.

Here's the closeup of the mitten and the sewing :) OK, be sure to check back in all week, I have lots of projects headed your way!!

InStyle Stamps New Release & Tutorial

Its the final day of release week at InSTyle Stamps! We have peeked some really cute new images this week, and they will all be available tonight in the ISS store! To check back on other peeks, please visit the InSTyle Stamps blog.

Today, we are peeking Dandelion Chloe! and I made her into a little notebook. We get a gentle reminder of due dates every so often and I am often one who waits til the last minute (who, me??) So, I made a little notebook to put the dates of all my DT projects in: due dates, which image, if its for a challenge, etc.

I am using my new Carla Cutter for this project. Kinda like a Bind-it-all, but cheaper and easier! I have all of my supplie gathered.

First I slide a piece into the cutter system (retails for only about $30!!)

Then you insert the punch part of the mechanism up to the groove (fits perfectly) and punch

Keep sliding the punch part up and realign and punch. Thats it! There are notches all the way up so it fits right into the groove to line it up, no fudging and fiddling!

Lastly insert the coils. They slide in super easy and come in like a dozen colors! Then voila!

Didn't she turn out cute?? I paper pieced her skirt to match the background paper (by Magenta). She is cut out with Spellbinders Labels 10 and sponged to the inside with Papertrey Ink Summer Sunrise.

Thanks for stopping in today! I will try to post something this weekend, but life will be crazy busy: Homecoming Game tonight Davie vs. Mt Tabor; Karate testing in the am; Heather's baby girl McKenna's 1st Bday tomorrow; and Cheer Extreme Showcase on Sunday!! Plus of course a house full of wild teenagers again I am sure. (Love you guys!)

Pixie Dust Challenge

Happy Thursday! And time for this weeks challenge over at the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge blog. This week we have a sketch for you from the Pixie sketch artist, Dani.

October\

For mine I used Jack Sparrow, available in the Pixie Dust studio webstore. I have had him for months and never got around to coloring him, isn't that sad? Well, I brought Mr Sparrow out to Trick or Treat today.

I followed the sketch pretty loosely...the corner piece I moved to the lower corner and made it a skull... and the middle panel is 2 pieces. Pattern paper is from Fancy Pants and the sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I added a bunch of zig zag stitching here and there and of course some ribbon, and voila!

Other challenges this card is entered for:
Fab-n-Funky Challenges: Things that Go Bump n the Night"
Pile it On: Kid Themed Halloween
OK, thats it for me today! Thanks for stopping by mateys! -Cyndi

Give me all your candy!!

I thought this saying was very fitting for my house. We will all fight over candy come Halloween night, sneaking it, hiding it, hoarding it. Particularly the Reeses cups. Seems to be my family's fav.

This was a project I whipped up last week for Simply Betty Challenges but got waylaid on my table and never posted. What's new there? If its not a deadline it doesn't always happen, KWIM??

I made little Dracula into a door hanger. The stamp is by Stampendous! called "Give Candy". I paired it with some of the Whooligans paper by Bo Bunny, available in a kit in The Scrappy Chick Boutique. The swirls were hand drawn and I added some Stampendous! Black Pearl glitter to them.

The door hanger was created with a simple 4x4 chipboard coaster. Ribbon is by Bo Bunny, I punched through the chipboard with my Crop-a-dile. The skeleton flower is a Prima from my stash.

This project does fit for this weeks Challenge at the Stampendous! blog...a recipe challenge of black, glitter and ribbon. Go check it out!

AND its the last dy to enter for blog candy at The Scrappy Chick Boutique blog!

Thats it for me today! Davie Football tonight, Marching Band Festival tomorrow! Have a good one

Sweet Baby Challenge

Its time for this weeks Pixie Dust Studio challenge! This weeks theme is "Sweet Baby" And I decided to tweak that just a bit and to make a card for a toddler. I couldn't resist using the image Captain Cash. (He's no longer available but Kathy has been so sweet to do special images for her friends/customers to create cards for special children.)

I colored him with copic markers and then used these gorgeous Prima papers from the Jack and Jill line. I love their papers cause they are so super thick and yummy! My layout for todays card is using this weeks sketch at Friday Sketchers blog.

You have til next Wednesday if you want to play along with the Pixies! As always there is a free digi image for the winner! And be on the lookout, the new "Leaves" collection will start being peeked in just a few days!

STMC26

Time for this week's Stampendous! challenge! This week is my turn and I issued a recipe challenge...the color black, some ribbon, and some glitter! October is my absolute favorite month...Halloween, pumpkin muffins, cooler weather, and on and on. So, in honor of October my card for this week's challenge is a bit Halloween inspired. (I think I got a bit carried away adding fun little elements. )

I used Cling Hang Out Spider Set for my focal point. After I stamped her in Memento Black ink I colored her with copics to match my Bo Bunny papers. Then of course she was glittered up a bit! I added Lavender to the edges of my Lady Spider and Green to the band of her witches hat. My sentiment is a Class-a-Peel sticker, the Happy Halloween is off the sheet Spooky Fence and the spider webs and spiders are from the Spider Webs Class-a-Peel sheet.

The papers are all by Bo Bunny from the Whooligans line, and are in in my upcoming scrapbook kit "Beware"...available tomorrow at The Scrappy Chick Boutique! Ribbon and button are from my stash :)

So, why not join us this week for the Stampendous! Sketch Challenge! You have until next Thursday night to link up your project and you could win FREE stamps! Thanks for stopping in today!
