Changito at Home

Happy Sunday! My card for you tonight uses one of my favorite Changito images....this is Changito at Home, from Stampendous! This is a card I started a long time ago and it sat and sat. I finally finished it up a couple of weeks ago. I think the colors turned out kinda neat, the background paper is My guy from Cosmo Cricket paired with some double dot by Bo Bunny.

I used my notebook edge punch for the mint paper and also inked all the edges with a Tim Holtz distress pad. The "thinking of you" sentiment is also from a Stampendous! set.

Quick post tonight cause we are still on our LOST marathon, trying to to get caught up re-watching seasons 1-5 before Friday! We are almost done with season 4. Whew! Til tomorrow....have a great night and thanks for visiting!

InStyle Stamps Blog Hop

Good Morning! Its the last Friday of the month and time for the InStyle Stamps Blog Hop! If you got here from Genevieve's blog then you are right on track! If not, why not start at the beginning of the hop at the InSTyle Stamps Blog and go from there! while there you can find out how you can win 5 yards of May Arts ribbon!

For our theme this month Virginia picked hearts. I chose Kristina as my image because I just love her little basket full of hearts! she is colored with copic markers to match the paper by Anna Griffin that I found at Michael's :)

I cut out the main panel with my standard and scalloped oval Nestabilites then I cut a coordinating piece of Anna Griffin pp with my Heart Nestabilities. The ribbon is from my stash and the gem is by Kaiser Kraft. Sentiment is by Lizzie Anne Designs. Pretty easy card today since I haven't had a bunch of stamping time yet since getting home. And of course I have to work again today. Maybe tonight?

Anywho, thanks for dropping by! From here the hop leads you to Lana's blog, so don't get lost along the way. (Speaking of LOST, only 7 more days til Season 6!!!)

CHA Part 2

I'm back. I had to work all day so I am just now getting on the computer. I have a few more pics of me with my cyber friends :) It was so great getting to meet all these people that I chat with! First up is me with Virginia, the owner of InSTyle Stamps. She is fun and bubbly and I wish I had had more time to get to know her!
This is Carolyn Hurst, a buddy from Enchanted Cottage. She was demoing at the Craf-T Products booth. Her sister Ellen bought the company last year and they have had lots of fun with it! Carolyn is one of the most incredibly talented women that I have ever met.
And here is my awesome roomie, Debbie Vaughn. we didn't know each other from Adam on Friday afternoon but hit it off from the start! Debbie is a total hoot! Here we are modeling our ridiculous chef's hats from the Cricut Cake booth.
This was Debbie and Laura on the Toy story Mania ride. We hit Disneyland one night for a few hours of rides, fireworks and dinner.
And finally for the last of the people shots, here is me with Meredith Ethington and Tricia Ulberg, the owners of and artists for Lizzie Anne Designs. These are 2 of the sweetest and most adorable gals ever! I'm so glad I finally met them! I also got to meet Jeni Allen, one of the LAD DT members who is equally a doll! She came to see me the next day when I was working and gave me a huge hug and made me smile :) Just wish I had gotten a pic with her too.

OK, tomorrow is the InStyle Stamps blog hop and then I will share other new CHA stuff sometime this weekend. Have a great night! Looks like we will be seeing more snow here in NC so stay safe to my local friends!

CHA Part 1: Stampendous!

Hey guys! sorry I have been away all week. As many of you know I got to go to CHA this week! It was totally awesome! Stampendous! asked if I wanted to come and do make-n-takes in their booth and of course I said Yes, duh!

I will share some photos and info this week. Tonight I am hangin' with my new bud Laura, the Graphics Manager for Stampendous! She has been the most awesome hostess for the last few days! She is totally full of energy, spunk, wit, and creativity and she and her whole family are the absolute coolest :) Above is a pic from the booth today of me & Laura.
Here's Fran Seiford, the Founder and President ( and stamp artist) of getting ready to show us her new Painting with Powder technique at our Stampendous! Design Team Event. Fran is the sweetest and most adorable woman! She is also fabulously creative!
Here is Fran with 3 of the Design Team, me, Debbie ( my ultra-fab fun and hilarious roommate) and Rachel (whom I barely met, but she is so adorable!)
Here's the 3 of us with Laura.
These are two of the demo boards from the Stampendous! booth this week. They show the new Painting with Powder and Sticker background techniques. These were both so fun to play with and I can't wait to have a free moment to get creative with these ideas and my new toys!
I worked one whole day at the booth doing Make-n-Takes. It was so fun and I felt totally in my element, you all know I love to teach. It is its own addiction. I didn't get a pic of the make-n-takes but will do that and show you later. You can view 2 of the make-n-take projects at the Stampendous blog in the meantime. OK, I am done rambling for the night, more tomorrow I hope :)

Blog Candy Winner & A card

Now, on to the card!

(OK, I started this post yesterday and have so many little problems with it....sorry!!)
This is "Cozy Tilda" from the So Jolly collection at Magnolia Stamps. Again, its another card I made for work! I used the pink polka dot paper from My Minds Eye, ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Snow Dots folder, then rubbed white Metallic rubons over the raised areas....I love the look!

Tilda is perched on the lovely silk ribbon (from May Arts). The circle behind Tilda is created with my EK Curvy Cutter out of paper from Bo Bunny. The icicle border punch is Martha Stewart as is the Snowflake punch. All supplies including the metallic dew drops can be found at Enchanted Cottage.

BTW, hi to all the girls from my class this weekend if you check in, please say hi! And I promise to go back to taking a photo of all the copics I use. For this one I will have to just list them, sorry! (And I do love the feedback)

OHDBCGA

I am back again...2 posts in one day! Here is my card for the Over the Hump Day Blog Candy Give Away! Our theme this month is hearts, and what better image than these 2 adorable Kissing birds with Heart wings? (A new image this month available from InSTyle Stamps) Eeeekk! They are so cute!

I used a sentiment from an old Verve set that I have, "Anniversary Birds" and it is a perfect match! The papers are from Anna Griffin, and I found at Micahel's. I left the tails of the birds cut out when I used my Labels 4 Nestie (Spellbinders) to cut the shape then I airbrushed the background while still in the template with both Copic YR61 and R22 around the edges only.

Be sure to head over to the InStyle Stamps blog to check out the cards from the other DT members, get the rules for this months contest and enter to win! Thanks for stopping in tonight! Happy Hump Day!

What would I do without you?

OK, I know I am a day behind on everything! My Windows has crashed on my laptop. So I have borrowed my sons old one, and well, anyway. I have had issues. Sorry. First up today is my card for yesterdays Color Challenge over at the Club Anime blog.

I used "Ava with Balloons" a new release from InSTyle Stamps. Isn't she just adorable? Very fun to color too. I used the 2 pinks and red in the challenge to hunt through mypaper and found that its perfect with this new line from My Little Yellow Bicycle. The paper is just a bit shimmery so I paired it with some Bazzill bling and added some Smooch to the image.

Sorry to be late, I will have my Blog Candy on sometime in the next 24 hours. I am hoping I can get my son home this afternoon for a bit to fix my computer problems! For now, tata! Have a great Sunday :)

I think the World of You!

HAppy Friday! I am going to have a night off tonight, sort of. My little guy Michael is heading to his fist sleepover birthday party! I have tried to avoid this for as long as possible cause once it starts, well...you know. I already have extra teenagers over all the time, now I guess he'll want to add to the mix with extra wild 6 year old boys. Argh.

Anyway, on to the card for the day. This is for this weeks sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers...I haven't done one of these in like forever it seems. I used my fun "Changito in Space" set by Stampendous! All the pieces were stamped, colored then cut out. The stars were punched out of pattern paper. All the pattern paper is by We R Memory Keepers from the White Out collection.

The sentiment is from the same Stampendous! set, but I omitted the "I" then moved it so it wold fit in a circle punch. OK< href="http://www.instylestamps.blogspot.com"> InSTyle Stamps Color challenge!

Got Snow?

Happy Sunday! I am here this morning with a card that I made for Enchanted Cottage using one of our new Magnolia Stamps... Frosty with Star. For the card I used the sketch challenge from the Just Magnolia blog.

Frosty was colored with fun bright copics to match the "Colorful Christmas" paper by My Minds Eye. I used shamrock green Flower Soft on his mittens and hat border. The snowflakes were airbrushed in the Spellbinders' Create a Flake 1 die.

Well, we only got through the 1st disk of Season 1 of LOST last night. I forgot how much I love that show! My hopes for the day are to stamp a bit more, fold 10+ loads of laundry, get Perry moved back into his dorm room, and watch some more LOST! Hope you have a great Sunday :)

Chef Tilda

Two posts in one day, can you believe it?? Its been awhile I know :) I even have 2 cards for you tonight. These are the other 2 cards for my Magnolia Class at Enchanted Cottage. First up is Chef Tilda sitting atop the rolling Pin. I have used the Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice collection for all these cards. Here's the copics I used:

All stitches are faux, edges inked with Versa color cubes. The fourish is from a Bo Bunny acrylic set a bit older. The layout is based on the sketch over at the Papertake weekly Blog this week.

  • Supplies: Chef Tilda, Rolling Pin (Magnolia Stamps); Flourish (Bo Bunny)
  • Paper: Kitchen Spice pp (Bo Bunny); Brown, Teal (Core'dinations); white (Neenah)
  • Ink: Palette Noir (Stewart Superior); Cyan, Topaz, Bark (Versacolor)
  • Accessories: buttons (Bo Bunny); ribbon (stash); brown pen
This is Peachy Tilda...no Edwins for this class, sorry. Just love all the Tilda's too much I guess ;) This Tilda is also colored with Copics, and the paper is from the same Bo Bunny collection. I didn't cut out this Tilda but cut her with a classic oval die from Spellbinders instead. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.

Toodles for tonight! I am going to start a LOST marathon (ALL 5 seasons!!) with my youngest to get ready for the 6th and last Season in a few weeks! Thanks to all my readers :)

CASC5: Kelli

Happy New Year! I had to work all day yesterday and never planned a post ahead, sorry! I also didn't get to do all the 12 Cards of Christmas for The Greeting Farm, but oh well. I do have a card for you today for the 5th Club Anime Sketch Challenge. You can see the challenge and more samples from the DT over at the Club Anime blog.

I used Kelli, a new digi Anime image from InStyle Stamps for my card. She was colored with copics, then I masked her and airbrushed her while still in the Labels 4 Nestabilites die. I flipped the sketch on its side so I could do her larger. The sentiment is by Verve Stamps, paper is from We R Memory Keepers...a little tame for my normal taste so my card isn't as bright at I like, but I was just in the mood to use it :)

All supplies are listed below, including all the Copic colors I used. Have a great weekend and I hope 2010 is good to everyone! Thanks for visiting!
